Dear Patients,

I hope you and your loved ones are doing well and staying healthy.

I am very sorry to tell you that I have decided to close my office permanently. I have not seen patients since March 18th and will not be reopening.

I have been thinking of retiring for some time. I have practiced for almost 39 years and the wear and tear has caught up with my hands and shoulders. I put my practice up for sale last September but unfortunately no buyer has come forward. My plan was to practice until the end of this year and if I did not find a buyer I would go about closing my office.

Of course the corona virus has changed everything. My wife has several autoimmune diseases and is on two immune suppressing medications. It is hard for me to see a time in the coming months when it would be safe to resume treating patients without jeopardizing her health.

While this is not how I imagined ending my career, I am well aware that I am more fortunate than many people who have lost their jobs at this this time. I am also very grateful that I was able to practice for so many years and get to know so many wonderful people. I consider many of you my friends and hope we can gather together sometime in the future.

I would like to thank the people who worked to make it possible for me to focus on caring for you. Sue Troutner always had a smile on her face and kept the office running smoothly for 20 years until her untimely death in 2014. Sue Minehart started working for me a few months later and helped get the office back on track during a very difficult time. Cindy Gould worked behind the scenes for 25 years submitting claims to insurance companies and making sure they paid what they should. Finally, my wife Deb managed the office and kept up the beautiful décor which many of you enjoyed.

We have a good group of chiropractors in town. While everyone works a little differently they all have your best interests at heart. They will be able to call me and ask details about how I have treated you. Also, you can call the office at 373-0120 before June 1st and leave a message and I will get back to you.  Or you can email me at debjohnpete@yahoo.com and I will suggest who might be the best fit for you.

Thank you for your trust and patronage over the years. I wish you all peace and good health.

Sincerely,
Dr. John Peterson
